I do not know who you are —
how, or why, could I?
moments of passion brought us together
and words.
Then came the adventures
and complications
the winds blew us onwards
blood beating hot and hard
imaginings
the land where lemon trees bloom
the land where monkeys scamper to the windows
so we built memories
each journey drawing new lines
constructions to contain our past
cementing ever firmer
but not any clearer
the sudden unexpected rages
eyes glaring — what cause?
I do not know you
So the flesh grows flabbier
the hair grows thinner
hard to retain a belief in the possibility of knowing.
We go on and on and on
I watch the movement of your hands
I love you
