So much to tell
So many memories
Friend more than 60 years…
I weep, of course,
But also remember
how much we laughed together
How we strove to make the world a better place…
Then suddenly, unexpectedly, I weep,
Because life was so cruel to you
and to Gill, your wife and my dear friend.
Nevertheless, I treasure radiant pictures
Which will not crack.
I haven’t seen you since I had my stroke;
But I am sure
You have travelled to the
Land of Light
wherever, however, that may be,
Joining beloved friends already there
Ken and Polly, Gaenor and many others..
I am also sure that
transmuted into music,
or whatever,
There will be new meetings
New travelling
onwards…
